Simone Biles has shared another health update with fans after a frightening medical scare earlier this summer. The Olympic gymnast admitted she had been back in the hospital for another procedure recently. She shared the update on social media with her husband, Jonathan Owens. Biles has not disclosed any information about her medical condition.

Biles shared a black-and-white picture of her on Instagram wearing a hospital gown and shower cap. She sat next to Owens and smiled, as he was celebrating his birthday that day. Biles wrote, “His birthday but he takes me to get my procedure ??????.” She also joked, “I woke up singing BossMan Dlow’s ‘Talk my Sh–’ ????.”
Last month, Biles revealed that she had gone through a terrifying medical emergency. She said she respects “privacy in today’s day and age” but didn’t consider “almost dying” to be on her “bingo card.” Biles did not say what led to the emergency. She expressed her gratitude to her “close circle” who “checked in, visited, and sent flowers” and assured them she would share more “sooner or later.”
Biles also described the ordeal as “one of, if not the scariest experience of my life.” She said that Owens was traveling to Indianapolis for NFL preseason practice when the emergency occurred. The pair first connected on the dating app Raya back in March 2020 and officially announced their relationship on Instagram that August. Owens proposed on Valentine’s Day, 2022 and they got married in a civil wedding in April 2023 in Houston.
Biles has been posting photos and videos featuring her husband since then. She recently joined Owens at Taylor Swift’s and Travis Kelce’s wedding at Madison Square Garden. Biles wrote, “recapping NY because I can’t believe this is my life,” and added, “& no I’m not ‘lucky,’ I’m blessed.” Owens also posted pictures from the celebration and wrote, “What a night, congratulations to the newlyweds.”
