Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling’s Podcast Shake-Up Fuels Rift Speculation

Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling are facing fresh scrutiny after their long-running podcast partnership changed. Spelling’s departure from 9021OMG has prompted questions about whether their decades-long friendship also hit a rough patch. Neither woman has publicly confirmed a falling-out. However, dueling insider claims and Garth’s candid reaction have kept the friendship rumors alive.

Jennie and Tori continue to face questions after the 9021OMG podcast changed

TMZ reported July 31 that sources familiar with the situation claimed Garth and Spelling had grown apart in recent months. One source alleged, “Jennie is not a friend to Tori,” and claimed Garth distanced herself because of negative press surrounding Spelling. The same source accused Garth of failing to check on Spelling during hospital stays.

However, Page Six cited another insider who rejected the rift narrative and said the pair remain “great friends.” The source said Spelling left the show to pursue other opportunities and that no falling-out caused the split.

Spelling and Garth have confirmed the professional change. Spelling’s sudden 9021OMG departure came before the podcast could cover Seasons 9 and 10 of Beverly Hills, 90210. She announced the move during an Instagram Live with Brian Austin Green and encouraged fans to keep listening.

Garth addressed Spelling’s exit during the July 31 podcast episode. “I’m sad that she’s not finishing this out with us,” she said. Garth also said she was happy for Spelling “to choose herself.” Producer Amy Sugarman emphasized that leaving was “100 percent” Spelling’s decision. She said Spelling informed the team about two weeks earlier and described the choice as difficult.

The rollout left room for speculation because Garth openly admitted disappointment while Spelling announced her exit outside the podcast. Still, Garth did not accuse Spelling of abandoning their friendship, and neither woman has publicly said their personal bond ended.

The anonymous allegation also touched on Spelling’s health struggles. Earlier this year, she described a recent illness as “hell,” but no public evidence supports the claim that Garth ignored her.

Garth and Spelling met while playing Kelly Taylor and Donna Martin on Beverly Hills, 90210. They later made their real-life friendship central to 9021OMG, which launched in 2020. For now, the podcast shake-up is real, but the rumored personal rift remains unconfirmed.
