Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton‘s romance might have been blossoming in the public eye lately. However, one member of the British royal family seems to have an issue with the progress of their relationship. In a recent interview, a royal author claimed that Prince Harry had “resented” his brother’s marriage to Middleton. In the author’s opinion, this was due to its discrepancies with Harry’s relationship with Meghan Markle.
Royal author claims Prince Harry reportedly disliked Prince William and Kate Middleton’s relationship
While speaking with Palace Confidential, Simon Vigar spoke about Prince Harry’s true feelings towards Prince William’s marriage. Vigar is the author of “The Four Wives of Windsor – The Inside Story of Diana, Camilla, Catherine and Meghan – The True Power Behind The Royal Family.”
The royal author explained how the wedding of the Prince and Princess of Wales was not rushed as Princess Diana’s union to William’s father and then-Prince Charles. Instead, Kate Middleton had years to decide if she wanted to be a part of the royal family. Moreover, Middleton “absolutely committed to it” when she decided to join the monarchical clan.
In sharp contrast, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship gave up the lessons from Diana and Charles’ unsuccessful marriage, as per Vigar. “William was concerned it was all happening too quickly. Harry bristled at that and didn’t like his brother’s reaction to that,” the author noted.
Vigar further highlighted Prince Harry’s supposed concern about getting ostracized from the family following his union with Meghan Markle. He added that Catherine has been the most successful person to join the Windsors. This has reportedly been an irksome development for the Duke of Sussex.
“That’s something Harry never had and clearly resented,” Vigar remarked. “The relationship with Meghan, once they mutually decided this is it, which was very early on, it went into warp drive, and they were married in 2018.”
Notably, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot two years after meeting in 2016. The couple distanced themselves from the royal family shortly afterwards.
