New details have emerged about Vincent Pastore’s final moments after “The Sopranos” star was found unresponsive at his Bronx home. First responders attempted to revive the actor before he was pronounced dead at the scene.

TMZ learned that law enforcement got a 911 call from a female neighbour at 2.20 PM ET. As first responders arrived, the 80-year-old was found face up in his bed. One paramedic went to work on him, trying to revive the actor. However, the intervention failed. Consequently, the actor was pronounced dead 22 minutes later at 2.42 PM.
Friends and former co-stars paid tribute to Pastore following news of his death. Manager Bob McGowan told The Associated Press, “He was the most loyal client, and he always gave to charity,” adding, “and he was the kind of guy who would help anybody, which is rare in my business.”
Pastore’s former talent agent, Jake Attermann, said, “Vinny was one of the kindest, most generous people I have ever known,” continuing, “He treated everyone with warmth and respect, never turning down a fan who wanted a photograph or an autograph. He genuinely appreciated the people who supported him and always made them feel valued.”
Fellow cast member Michael Imperioli spoke about Pastore’s warmth and kindness and praised the actor’s devotion to friends, family, and fans.
Born in the Bronx on July 14, 1946, Pastore launched his acting career after studying drama at Pace University. He went on to cut a familiar figure in crime dramas. His breakout role came as he joined “The Sopranos” crew in 1999. He played a conflicted mobster whose story arc became one of the most memorable on the show.
So far, nothing alluding to any foul play regarding the death has come forward. Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee.
