The global girl group KATSEYE assured fans that Manon Bannerman is very much part of the group, even after her departure.
The members shared the update while promoting Netflix’s upcoming documentary, Wild Hearts, which follows their journey to global stardom.
Lara Raj said Manon Bannerman remains an integral part of KATSEYE and appears in Wild Hearts.
When questioned about Manon’s role, Lara Raj confirmed that fans will continue to see her on screen. “She will forever be an integral part of KATSEYE. She is included in the film… and it’s lovely. We are so happy to see it. The fans, I think, will be so excited to see it,” Lara said.
The interview took place as the group promoted the “Wild Hearts” documentary that documents their journey from discovery to fame. KATSEYE was formed through HYBE and Geffen Records’ global audition project. The project culminated in the survival series The Debut: Dream Academy.

Bannerman represented Switzerland during Dream Academy and earned a place in KATSEYE. She quickly became a fan favourite for her performances and personality. Although she is currently on medical hiatus, Manon remains an important part of the group’s story, with her journey featured throughout the documentary.
The group also reflected on their journey and how they quickly gained fame. The interviewer posed a question, asking if the group had anticipated the sold-out arenas, performing at Coachella and making the documentary. One of the members said, “I think it was always a dream of ours but I don’t think we expected it so soon. We couldn’t be more grateful to be here.”
Fans were quick to react to the interview clip. One of them wrote, ““Manon was the heartbeat of that doc honestly so glad she got her moment in the spotlight.” Another quipped, “i really don’t care what y’all say i personally get happy when they’re allowed to mention manon even if it’s pr answers (sometimes) especially since she’s been treated like voldemort for the longest time hearing them talk about her is so healing to me.”
KATSEYE members include Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Meghan, and Yoonchae. Manon is presently on a medical hiatus from the group.
