Kate Middleton reportedly became stuck between Prince William and King Charles as their feud widened. The Princess of Wales was said to urge her husband to give his father room. That followed a tense Sussex reunion at Highgrove. A new source claimed William remained upset over Charles hosting Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their children. The report framed Kate as exhausted by the father-son divide and afraid her peacemaking could worsen it.
Kate Middleton ‘keeps encouraging Prince William to go easy on’ King Charles amid feud, per source
According to a Woman’s Day report by Now To Love, Buckingham Palace confirmed the Highgrove reunion. King Charles and Queen Camilla privately hosted Prince Harry, Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet in July. However, Prince William and Kate did not attend.
The report said William understood Charles’ wish to reconnect. Still, the royal heir remained unwilling to contact his brother. The outlet cited Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” and the couple’s TV interviews. It said William believed the criticism caused “lasting damage.”
Meanwhile, the report said King Charles‘ widening divide with Prince William left Kate in anguish. A royal source said, “It used to be” William and Harry’s rift troubling her. Now, the insider claimed, she was “even more distressed” by the distance from Charles.
The source added that Kate would not “disrespect or undermine William.” Still, Charles was her father-in-law, “whom she loves dearly.”
However, the source said Kate kept trying to soften the feud. The insider said, “She keeps encouraging William to go easy on him.” Kate reportedly understood his frustration over decisions involving Harry and Meghan.
But the source said she did not believe his anger was “helping the situation.” Still, the efforts had not solved the divide. The source said being caught in the middle became “emotionally exhausting.” For Kate, the only option was hope. The insider said, “All she can do now” is hope they found their way back.
