Adam Vinatieri, the all-time leading scorer in NFL history, mocked his former coach Bill Belichick during his Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Aug. 8 in Canton, Ohio. The 53-year-old legendary placekicker took a playful shot at the 74-year-old coach for missing his enshrinement ceremony. He joked that Belichick was busy judging his 25-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, at a cheerleading competition.

As reported in PEOPLE, Vinatieri mentioned Belichick while giving his speech and joked about the coach’s absence from the big day. “Unfortunately, Bill couldn’t make it today,” Vinatieri said. “There’s a lot going on at UNC right now.”
Vinatieri then added that he initially thought Belichick was missing the ceremony because training camp had started. Then he joked, “But in truth, he was judging his girlfriend’s cheerleading competition.”
Belichick is currently the head coach of the University of North Carolina football team. The 74-year-old coach has been dating Hudson, 25, and has supported her cheerleading career. The former Patriots coach has attended her competitions and cheered her on during her performances.
Vinatieri did not stop with Belichick. He also joked about two of his former quarterbacks, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. Vinatieri then joked about the former quarterback’s famously large forehead, saying, “And Peyton, thank you for generously donating your forehead for today’s teleprompter.”
He also had a more risqué joke for Tom Brady, bringing ESPN star Pat McAfee into it. He said in his speech, “Pat McAfee is here,” and added, “The only other person who loved holding my balls more than my wife.” McAfee was Vinatieri’s holder during his NFL career.
With his jokes about Belichick, Manning, and Brady, Vinatieri certainly made his HOF speech memorable. While Vinatieri was celebrating his induction, Belichick was still waiting for his own. He did not receive enough votes to enter the Hall of Fame on the first ballot earlier this year.
