According to People, the 81-year-old singer was scheduled to perform at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati on Sunday, Aug. 9. However, the venue announced that the concert had been postponed. Because Stewart needed an unforeseen but minor medical procedure that required immediate attention.
In a statement, Riverbend Music Center said the show is being rescheduled, with more details expected on Tuesday, Aug. 11. The venue also assured fans that all previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the new date. It added that Stewart is expected to make a quick recovery and looks forward to returning to Cincinnati.
The postponement marks another health-related interruption during Stewart’s One Last Time Tour. In June, he canceled and rescheduled several performances. After an acute upper respiratory infection, laryngitis, and vocal fold strain forced him onto vocal rest. Those issues temporarily sidelined the veteran performer before he resumed touring.
Stewart also sparked concern on June 19 during a concert in Utah. As previously reported, he nearly fainted onstage and briefly left the performance to use an oxygen tank backstage. After returning, the singer joked with the audience about the incident before finishing the show while seated in a chair. Earlier this summer, he also paused during a charity performance after his voice cracked mid-song. He laughed off the moment before restarting the lyric to applause from the crowd.
Despite the recent setbacks, Stewart has continued to push ahead with his tour whenever possible. He is currently scheduled to return to the stage for a performance at Rocket Arena in Cleveland on Tuesday, Aug. 11, assuming his recovery goes as planned.
The latest postponement has prompted concern among fans, especially following the singer’s recent health struggles. However, organizers emphasized that the procedure was minor and expect Stewart to make a quick recovery before resuming his tour.
