Prince William has reportedly “gone to war” for her wife, Princess Kate, after hearing a particular royal request. It was allegedly about changing the spelling of the Princess of Wales’ first name. It was reportedly none other than the Prince of Wales’ father, King Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, who made the request. According to a new report, the claims came from Christopher Andersen, a royal author, in his book titled “Kate! The Courage, Grace, and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen.”

Prince William was reportedly “fuming” after King Charles and Queen Camilla made a royal request for his wife, Princess Kate, to change the spelling of her first name. As reported by Fox News Digital, royal author Christopher Andersen wrote in his book, “Charles and Camilla each had a royal monogram that consisted of interlocking C’s beneath a crown.”
The author continued, “And they expressed concern that a third royal cypher with a C was overkill.” The author then added, “Would Kate mind if she changed the spelling of her full name from ‘Catherine’ to ‘Katherine.'”
In the meantime, per the news outlet, Christopher Andersen further explained in his book, “Offended by yet another command from on high essentially aimed at placating Camilla.” The royal author continued, “A fuming William replied on his wife’s behalf.” The author then wrote, “The request was nothing less than ‘insulting,’ he told his father.” The author also added, “Not only to Kate but to her entire family.”
Christopher Andersen further stated, “The entire nature of Charles and Camilla’s request.” The author continued, “That Catherine was adding too many C’s to the royal crests — shows just how much image and branding means to members of the royal family.” The royal author claimed, “The monarchy really is a giant game of one-upmanship.” According to the royal author, “William has gone to war for Kate,” from the very beginning of the royal couple’s relationship.
