Katie Price is facing criticism from the director of Jackie The Stripper after she allegedly missed promotional events for the film. Director Michael Head called her absence “disgusting,” while Price’s representatives dispute the suggestion that she still had promotional obligations.
The ‘Jackie The Stripper’ director calls Katie Price’s alleged snub ‘disgusting’
The Katie Price and Jackie The Stripper row began with a part she allegedly “begged” for. It grew once she skipped both of the comedy’s launches.
Price, 48, took a small role in the raunchy film, stepping back into her Jordan identity for the job. The picture opened last month. However, she was absent from the Jackie The Stripper premiere in early July, according to the Daily Mail.
The film subsequently became available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime. The Daily Mail reported that the production expected Price to take part in further promotion, but she did not do so.
Michael Head, who directed Jackie The Stripper, did not hide his irritation. He called what she did “disgusting.”
“This is about female empowerment. This is about all the things that we’re making a film for. And Katie’s just snubbed it which is not really what’s done,” he explained.
His publicist said; “Michael has reached out to all the cast to publicise the release of the film on Amazon and all the cast have got involved in promoting Jackie The Stripper, apart from Katie Price.”
Her representatives rejected the idea that any promotional duty remained. Furthermore, they would not discuss her no-show at the launch.
Price’s management company, SANDS, had reportedly confirmed her attendance in writing in June. However, the production was later informed that Price had traveled abroad, and her management withdrew her from the appearance shortly before the event.
“No reason for her withdrawal has been provided other than her decision to remain abroad,” a source told the Daily Mail. “It is disappointing that Katie has cancelled her appearance at such short notice, particularly after her attendance had been confirmed on multiple occasions and publicly. She even DM’d the director asking for her ticket for attendance on 6th May 2026.”
Charlotte Kirk stars as Jackie, with Price playing Lisa. The cast also includes Patsy Kensit, Kimberly Wyatt, Jamie Lomas and TOWIE star Chloe Meadows. The film takes place in London’s Whitechapel in 1888 and weaves in the Jack the Ripper story.
