Ariana Madix has finally revealed the secret behind her signature slow-motion walks in Love Island USA.
The reality star has disclosed that a global icon had inspired her to take up the walk.

In an interview with CNN, Madix opened up about what lies behind the now viral walk in the villa. She explained that she had picked up the walk from Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour, at once amazed at how powerful and confident it looked.
“During Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour, which I saw twice, I love Beyoncé. There is a moment where she does this catwalk and it’s the intro to the song ‘Energy’ […] And we were right there and Beyoncé was making a beeline right for us and that stuck in my head,” Madix said.
The host’s slow-motion walks have become a fan favorite and are highly anticipated today. Each episode has Madix entering the villa with a strut with cinematic camerawork and elaborate costumes. Madix’s hosting skills have also garnered appreciation. The television personality recently received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program for her work on the Peacock dating series.
Madix told The Hollywood Reporter about her experience of hearing about the nomination while filming in Fiji. “So I ran over to answer the phone, worried that something bad had happened. And it was my team calling to tell me about it and to congratulate, and we were all so excited on the phone,” she said.
Madix has also addressed speculations around her appearance in future Love Island USA seasons. In an interview with Us Weekly, Madix sais that she was puzzled with the recurring rumors that her time in the show was limited. “I do wonder about that sometimes,” she said, adding that she has often questioned where the reports originate.
However, Madix admitted to receiving many comments from viewers who hope that she stays on in the show.
