Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie‘s daughter Vivienne moves to officially drop “Pitt” from her name. She has published a legal notice in the Los Angeles Daily Journal regarding her intent to change her official name.
According to PEOPLE, Los Angeles County Superior Court documents state that she has publication proof, confirming her intent to change her name.
The legal notice, reportedly published on July 24, July 31, August 7 and August 14. She wants to change her name from “Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt” to “Vivienne Marcheline Jolie.”
This step is required by California law to officially change names. However, her request to change her name has not been granted. An official hearing for the matter is scheduled on November 2. According to official documents, any individual wanting to change their name “must file a written objection that includes the reason for the objection. The objection should be filed at least two court days before the matter is scheduled to be heard.”
Vivienne filed a petition to change her name on July 21, citing “personal” as the reason.
Her publication came after her siblings Zahara, 21, and Maddox, 25, filed the notice to change their names. All three siblings reportedly wish to change “Pitt” to “Jolie” in their names.
Earlier, a source close to Pitt told PEOPLE, “This is the result of a prolonged campaign of alienation of children against their parent. It’s an incredibly sad reality, but it’s not surprising after years of one parent weaponizing the children against the other one with no regard for the consequences.”
Vivienne is the latest child of Brad Pitt to distance herself from the “Pitt” surname, following similar steps by Maddox, Shiloh, and Zahara.
