Dave Portnoy’s Barstool HQ Thrown Into Chaos After Uber Eats Fight

Dave Portnoy has shared an update about an altercation that broke out between an Uber Eats courier and Barstool security personnel. Security footage shared by him clearly shows the fight.

A dispute over an Uber Eats order turned violent at Dave Portnoy’s Barstool headquarters

Barstool’s Manhattan HQ became the site of a frightening incident. According to The Blast, the footage shows the courier knocking the security guard onto the ground before dragging him across the floor. He then appeared to sit on his knees and pour blows on the personnel’s face.

Amid the incident, several employees rushed to the scene and tried to separate the two, even as the courier continued to take swings. The employees were eventually able to separate them and someone called 911.

Portnoy posted the footage on X shortly after the incident. “We had a crazy scene today at Barstool World Hq,” Portnoy wrote. “An uber eats driver got in a fight with Gia in the hallway over her order,” he continued. “Our security guard Dan went into the hall to tell the guy to leave, and he attacked him.”

The NYPD revealed that officers were called to Barstool’s Seventh Avenue office at approximately 2 p.m. They found out that a verbal dispute turned to blows, and a 31-year-old man punched a 45-year-old man several times in the face.

The Police confirmed that the security guard was given medical attention on the scene. “Danny may need a few stiches and a couple beers,” Portnoy wrote. “All in all another day at the Stool.”

A person of interest has been arrested, although there are no formal charges. Investigation is ongoing.

Uber has responded by condemning the violence and has blocked the courier’s access to the platform. They have also offered to assist the police in any way.
