Officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command released Gallagher’s image on Tuesday. The 28-year-old is wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant. Police did not provide further details about the warrant.
Gallagher has also faced other legal issues in recent months. Reports previously linked him to assault-related charges in Dungloe in 2022. However, NSW Police has not connected the latest warrant appeal to those matters.
Authorities described Gallagher as having a fair complexion and medium build. He is approximately 165 centimeters tall, according to the police appeal. Officers also said he was known to frequent specific areas.
Gallagher was known to spend time around Ermington and Melrose Park. Both suburbs are located in Sydney’s north-western region. Police urged anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.
However, authorities also said Gallagher was believed to be offshore. It remains unclear exactly where investigators believe he may be located. Police inquiries into his whereabouts were continuing.
The outstanding warrant comes after Gallagher reportedly faced separate legal issues in Australia. He was arrested in December 2025 over allegations involving a 29-year-old woman. He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, and intentionally choking a person without consent.
NSW Police urged members of the public to contact Ryde Police Station. People with relevant information could also contact Crime Stoppers. Authorities asked the public not to submit information through police social media pages.
The police appeal included a publicly released image of Gallagher. The image allowed authorities to seek wider assistance locating him. No further details regarding the underlying allegations were included.
