For those unversed, Kai is an avid vlogger who regularly posts content on her social media platforms, particularly long-form content on YouTube. Her latest vlog, titled “My First Week at the University of Miami,” premiered on August 29.
Kai wrote in her YouTube caption: “My first week of college at the University of Miami is officially in the books! I am so excited to begin this new journey and chapter of my life as a college student and D1 golfer. I’ll be capturing it all throughout my entire first year from golf and school to college life and everything in between!”
After a few routine activities, the avid golfer filmed herself crying while clutching the steering wheel. She talked about spending time with her friends and saying goodbye to everyone before moving to Miami. “I just played golf and I’m driving home right now. I have been, like, literally sobbing. It’s just really sad that I have to say goodbye to, like, everyone today. I’m not a very emotional person at all. So this is, like, really weird for me to cry. I have only really cried a few times.”
“But knowing I had to say goodbye to everyone tonight really, really sucks. Everything else is sad. Yeah, I’m just struggling right now thinking about it. But, like, I’m excited, I’m emotional. I don’t know how to explain it,” Kai added.
The 19-year-old dedicated the rest of her vlog to packing, meeting her loved ones, and filming memories she wants to cherish for life.
While a few fans criticized her on X, the others showed their support for Kai. One fan commented: “The struggle is real. I hated my first couple of weeks at college.” A second fan wrote: “Oh, sweetheart, you are going to be fine! Enjoy every moment of this new chapter, take pictures, make friends!
