Madison Beer gets candid about life after nudes were leaked
Madison Beer recently opened up about how she slipped into a difficult state after her leaked nudes incident when she was just 15. During an interview with Cosmopolitan, the singer said, “I tried to go the other way and kill myself, and don’t get me wrong, I still have those moments.”
Beer continued, “But I was like, ‘I need to first prove all these people wrong.'” Secondly, she said, “Maybe I can help someone out there who sees themselves in me in any way.” The revelation came after Beer recalled confronting some people and seeking an apology for their treatment of her at the time. When asked if there was anyone she still wanted to confront, the artist replied, “No.” She added, “Sometimes you’ve got to just let it go.”
Further in the interview, Beer also got candid about developing a positive outlook on life despite what she went through. The “Reckless” singer said, “It’s taken me so long and I’m obviously still doing so much work on myself.” After a series of “really painful” situations, Beer got to a point where she thought, “Feel your feelings about it.” The singer added that this viewpoint became her “coping” mechanism.
Later, Beer continued to share how she has “empathy” for people now. The “Make You Mine” crooner explained she tries to be a “joyous person.” Someone who is “loving life and has more empathy than judgment.” Beer stated, “Even for the people who almost bullied me into killing myself.” The singer then added on a positive note, “We’re alive for a short period of time.”
