Additionally, Obama’s note subtly shut down his ongoing divorce rumors with his wife, Michelle Obama.

Barack Obama recently took to his X (formerly Twitter) to share a post celebrating Mother’s Day. The former president shared a black and white photo of his wife, Michelle, with their two daughters, Malia and Sasha Obama. He captioned the post, “Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms and mother-figures!” Furthermore, he expressed gratitude towards his wife for making their lives better. “@MichelleObama, the girls and I are so lucky to have you in our lives. We love you,” he added. The politician also shared the same post on his Instagram account.
Besides the Mother’s Day wish, Barack Obama’s post can be taken as a way to shut down divorce rumors with Michelle. Acknowledging his wife, the father of two implied that all is well between the couple. Previously, he shared glimpses of his life with his wife on social media, including one on Valentine’s Day, thus showing that the couple is still going strong in their “thirty-two years together.”
Barack and Michelle Obama’s divorce rumors have been making the rounds for quite some time now. The two sparked a separation speculation when Michelle wasn’t seen with her husband at two important events. These were former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral and Donald Trump’s inauguration in January.
However, the attorney cleared the air on the “Work in Progress” podcast by Sophia Bush. She mentioned her absences were just a personal choice and nothing else. The former first lady also addressed the divorce buzz, explaining, “This year, people couldn’t even fathom that I was making a choice for myself. They had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing.”
