With The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives right around the corner, the women have been getting a lot of press. Season 2 is bound to be filled with even more sins, and now the husbands are ready to take center stage.
Zac Affleck is the villain on the show
During Season 1 of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Zac Affleck was probably the most hated husband on the show. The father of two came across as arrogant and narcissistic as he often belittled Jen Affleck’s MomTok appearances. The pair met while on a Mormon dating app, and at the time, Jen was only 18 years old. Zac was an aspiring medical student who was happy to allow Jen to fund his lifestyle. However, the couple split, and Zac decided to give up on becoming a doctor in hopes of making his marriage work.
Dakota Mortensen is on the outs, again
Dakota Mortensen is the baby daddy to Taylor Frankie Paul. For many viewers, he comes across not as a clout chaser, but a disaster. During Season 1, he denied cheating on Taylor when they were first together. Along the way, he tried to have her accept his proposal of marriage. But the two were way too toxic for one another. Today, the duo does their best to co-parent their son, Ever. Dakota has started his own TikTok account with Taylor’s help and is now trying to make a living as an influencer. However, Taylor and Dakota broke up in January 2025.
Jordan Ngatikaura finds his voice
Jordan Ngatikaura and his wife, Jessi Ngatikaura, seem like a solid couple. The pair are a modern-day Brady Bunch with their blended family. On his Instagram profile, his bio reads that he is the “Father of #DadTok.” More often than that, he is posting videos with the other husbands from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Jordan works as a solar energy manager at an advisory firm per LinkedIn. In 2017, he graduated with a degree in marketing from Utah Valley University.
Before meeting Jessi, he was married once before to his high school sweetheart. In January, Jessi honored her husband with an Instagram post. She wrote, “We’ve lived so much life together in just 5 years, I can’t believe you were only 25 when we met, grateful to have someone like you by my side. Someone who’s always down for an adventure, a friend to everyone, and a good time all around. Love you!!”
Jacob Neeley is the calmest of the bunch
While Mayci Neeley is often seen as the peacemaker, Jacob Neeley rarely steps in front of the cameras. The pair tied the knot in 2018 after both attended Brigham Young University. In an Instagram video, Mayci described that Jacob “loved me and my son unconditionally. I knew he was the one.” Before meeting Jacob, Mayci was pregnant with her first child, but the father tragically died in a car accident. Jacob stepped up for both of them, and in 2023, he adopted her son, Hudson. In his Instagram bio, he notes he is “just being a good dude.” Currently, the happy couple are expecting their third child. Jacob currently works as a sales and finance consultant with A02 Management.
Fans will see more of Jace Terry on Season 2
Mikayla Matthews and Jace Terry have been married for seven years and have three young children together. To mark the occasion, Mikayla took to Instagram to write sweet words about her beloved. She wrote, “7 years married to my best friend. He sticks by me and cheers me on in every aspect of my life. Has truly carried me through chronic illness and all the struggles that have come with it over the last 3 years. Wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else.” Jace didn’t film for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 1. But he will be making a cameo or two for the second season.
Bret Engemann has reality TV ties
In a TikTok video, Demi Engemann opened up about her love story. She shared, “There has been a lot of controversy around our relationship, and the fact that we got into a relationship very quickly after my divorce, and that we have pretty significant age gaps, and that he’d been married a couple of times before me.” The influencer noted, “So, if you don’t know, my husband and I are 16 years apart, and I knew him through a family friend growing up. He was so much older than me.”
Before meeting Demi, Brett Engemann was married to Angie Harrington. The name might sound familiar since she appeared in the first two seasons of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Their divorce was high profile in Utah County as Brett was the quarterback from Brigham Young University and considered quite a mini-celebrity.
Fans think Connor Leavitt is a chameleon
During Season 1, Connor Leavitt was known as the ever-evolving man. His look changed practically with each new episode. He and Whitney Leavitt married in 2016 and have since been growing their family. During Season 1, Connor found himself in a scandal as many accused him of cheating on his wife. However, he later admitted to having a porn addiction.
