Prince Harry Is Facing ‘Great Sadness’ Ahead of UK Return — Source

Prince Harry is reportedly preparing for a return to the United Kingdom alongside Meghan Markle and their two children this summer. The planned visit comes as sources claim the Duke of Sussex continues to feel heartbroken over how disconnected his family has become from the country where he grew up.

Prince Harry is not entirely happy about returning to the UK for this reason, claims source

According to reports, Harry, Meghan, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet are expected to travel from their home in Montecito, California, to attend the One Year To Go Invictus Games events in Birmingham in mid-July. The trip would mark a rare visit to Britain for the entire family and comes after years of limited appearances in the UK following Harry and Meghan’s departure from royal duties in 2020.

A source close to the Duke told News.com.au that Harry has struggled with the reality that his children have had little opportunity to spend time in Britain. “It’s been a real point of great sadness – for Harry especially – that he’s been unable to bring his wife and kids back to the UK safely to reconnect with friends and family, but anyone would understand his desire to put their safety first.”

The source claimed the Duke would love for his children to experience the country where he was raised and spend time with extended family members and longtime friends. The upcoming visit is also expected to mark Meghan’s first high-profile trip to Britain since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022.

Although Harry has returned to the UK several times for various events and engagements, Meghan has largely remained in California with their children. In fact, the Duchess has not made a significant public appearance in Britain in nearly four years. The couple’s last visit to the UK with Archie and Lilibet took place during celebrations for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
