Hailey Bieber takes a subtle dig with perfume name during Vogue interview
On May 20, Vogue dropped its “In the Bag?” video with Hailey Bieber, who revealed her “favorite perfume” is indeed “Eau d’Nepo.” The model used the interview to take subtle digs at her haters, owning the traits that they often tend to pick at.
She began the video by plonking down her massive Saint Laurent bag, starting slow with a simple hand cream that she swears by. However, her next beauty product incited some laughs and giggles among viewers. She revealed her “favorite perfume” to be “Eau d’Nepo,” which has a “really vanilla” smell to it.
Fans couldn’t help but point out her sly dig at haters, with many commending her sense of humor. One user wrote, “The way this is RIDDLED with sarcasm, I love her sm lol.” Another exclaimed, “Love a girl that can clap back without leaving hate to others.” Bieber further joked that she has worn the perfume her “entire life” and is “obsessed with it.” However, the best part is her claiming the fragrance “does all the work for you without you having to do anything.”
She also didn’t miss the opportunity to endorse her brand, Rhode Beauty. Bieber pulled out a bunch of lip treatments one after the other from her bag. She also sarcastically pulled out a journal, where she writes down “all my thoughts.” However, in the clip capturing the model flipping through it, one could see that all the pages were completely blank. She further emphasized that “all of my ideas go into this.”
In the video, Bieber also subtly addressed the long-running hate train, claiming that she stalks Selena Gomez. She ended the interview with one last dig, introducing the viewers to a love potion. She joked that it was why a “young Canadian pop star” fell for her.
