I’ll be honest, I had never really heard of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys, but since Season 2 has popped up on my radar, I can’t get the Bonanza theme song out of my head. The second season will take a deep dive into the patriarch, Steven McBee’s, choice to step back from the ranch. His son, Steve McBee Jr. will now be taking the reins of the family business. Naturally, the trailer is teasing some sort of family feud. And that the McBees have been under an FBI investigation. There might even be some prison time served. Now, if that plot doesn’t resemble a Real Housewives franchise, I don’t know what does.
The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys Season 2 trailer shows the Wild West is still alive
After Season 1 ended, Steve Sr pled guilty to participating in a massive insurance fraud scheme. According to a press release, the farmer was charged with one count of federal crop insurance fraud. He allegedly received insurance benefits he was not authorized to get and waived his right to a grand jury. The Department of Justice has also claimed Steve Sr obtained insurance for his soybean crop after “misrepresenting” that the vegetables were “the first crop in certain fields.” The Feds alleged he used the space to also grow wheat, which is called double cropping.
Bravo’s press release read, “The stakes couldn’t be higher as eldest brother Steven Jr. has been left in charge of the McBee family farm and the race is on during harvest season to save it from being foreclosed.” It adds, “With Steven’s relationship with Calah on the rocks, Jesse’s anxiety around marrying Alli and Cole buckling under the pressure of becoming a father with pregnant girlfriend Kacie, these young men find themselves attempting to salvage their relationships and save the farm at the same time. When an FBI investigation threatens to take down their business, their mother, Kristi, has to step in to keep the family from falling apart.” Steve Jr admits in the trailer, “We’ve got a problem. We’ve been under FBI investigation, and there may be prison time involved.”
Who is on the McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys cast for Season 2?
Rounding out the cast of Real American Cowboys is Steven McBee Jr, Calah Jackson, Cole McBee, Kacie Adkison, Jesse McBee, Alli Ventresca, Kristi McBee, Galyna Saltkovska, and Brayden McBee. Junior (as I call him) has the weight of the world on his shoulders. Fans will learn that the family farm is an impending $6 million payment, which is about as helpful as a hole in a canoe. The bad boy of the family, Cole, is trying his best not to fall back into his old ways. But the need to outshine his older brother is putting a lot of pressure on the young man.
Jesse is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Even though he is finally ready to marry his high school sweetheart, his family is insisting he get a prenup. After some tough conversations, Jesse will question what he actually wants out of life.
The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys Season 2 — What to expect
While the farm will nevertheless be the focal point of this series, there is also a major plotline involving the women. Kristi, Steve Sr’s first wife, blames Galyna for her ruined marriage. Season 2 will show Kristi finding her voice and finally confronting Gal. For fans who don’t know, Kristi didn’t appear in Season 1 but is ready to make up for lost time. The first season showed Steve Sr and Galyna getting close. Gal is the family business’s Chief Financial Officer, but she mixed business with pleasure when she got involved with the owner.
However, Season 2 doesn’t look like it will be happily ever after for the new couple. The PR release shared that Galyna’s “world shatters when she learns her ex, Steve McBee Sr., has been seeing her good friend Masha behind her back. Heartbroken and distracted, Galyna struggles to focus on the company she helped build. As she fights to stay strong, the weight of betrayal threatens to consume her.” Needless to say, hearts will be broken and a legacy might be lost forever.
