The trio talked about various things, including her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl” and Eras tour in London. It was during the conversation when the singer shared a hilarious incident that left everyone smiling and teasing Jason.
In the interview, the 35-year-old singer recalled Jason attending her Wembley Stadium show last year, where she offered to introduce the retired NFL player to Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte. “Wasn’t this the week I got to watch Jason meet the royal family?” Swift asked the Kelce brothers, to which they agreed.
They then talked more about the meeting, saying Jason was “serious” about meeting the royal family. However, he faced one serious dilemma about the beer he was holding in his hand at the time. “He was like, ‘What do I do with my beer?,’” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said, imitating Jason.
Swift was quick to chime in, saying she “watched” Jason having “this moment with his beer where he was like, ‘But I want to take it, but I know that I probably should not take it.’” The pop star then joked that Jason was unsure if he didn’t have his “beer,” what would he do with his “hand now?”
“Is it disrespectful to have a beer when you meet royalty?” Jason asked Swift while watching her enact the situation. The “Fortnight” quickly agreed, saying, “Yeah,” and added that it was “fantastic” to watch Jason at the moment. And it was not only Jason who met the royal family then. Even Swift and her longtime boyfriend, Travis, posed with royalties backstage at the show and posted the selfie on Instagram.
