This week, Season 4 alum Chanse Corbi revealed she suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident in Thailand. Is this like Final Destination for Love Island cast members?
Love Island’s Chanse Corbi faces nasty injuries in Thailand
Chanse shared details about her gruesome bike crash with The Sun. The 24-year-old was vacationing in Thailand with a friend. On the last day of the trip, they decided to take a motorcycle to do some last-minute sightseeing.
“On the way back, we hit a massive pothole in the middle of the freeway,” Chanse recalled. “The front tire twisted, throwing my friend from the back, and trapping me under the bike.”
At the time of the crash, Chanse only wore a bikini, leaving her skin exposed to the hard asphalt. She skid across the highway, causing her skin to become “stripped” from her body. Thankfully, she was wearing a helmet. Otherwise, this story would probably have a much different ending.
“It was cracked on the left side, and without it, I know I wouldn’t be here to tell this story,” she said.
The damage to Chanse’s skin was so severe that she had to receive skin grafting. She spent two weeks unable to walk and developed a serious infection in her leg while trying to recover. According to Chanse, doctors “sliced off” the infection without pain meds.
“I definitely should’ve worn more than a bikini, but I’m forever grateful I had a helmet,” she said of the ordeal.
The lesson here is that bikinis and bikes don’t mix, and Love Island stars need to be more careful in their adventures. We don’t want to hear about any more Islanders experiencing horrific accidents. Enough is enough.
