Doja Cat made yet another bold fashion statement at the MTV VMAs 2025. The Candy hitmaker wore a plunging, low-cut dress with long sleeves. She matched her makeup and jewellery with her trendy dress. Doja Cat captioned the photo with a kiss and lipstick emoticon. She added her own song, Jealous Type, to the post.
Doja Cat wears mini dress with daring neckline at VMAs 2025
Doja Cat shared a close-up shot of her gorgeous dress that she wore for this year’s MTV VMAs. The butter-yellow color dress, with powder blue diamonds strewn over it, was further accentuated by a deep burgundy-colored plunging neckline. The plunging neckline was in a sweetheart shape with a sprinkling of silver, resembling a confetti design.
Doja Cat matched her burgundy sweetheart neckline with drop earrings and a big studded ring of the same color. She chose a bold red color to complement her outfit and matching nail color. In the picture shared on her Instagram, she reapplied lipstick on the red carpet, creating the perfect Instagram picture.
The Paint The Town Red singer seemed to draw inspiration from Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe, styling her hair in a puffed-up look and recreating Monroe’s iconic red lipstick and winged eyeliner. Notably, Doja Cat also tagged Chopard and Balmain, crediting them for her glamorous red carpet look.
Notably, fans showered the singer with compliments. “Oh wow,” one user wrote with multiple heart-eyes emojis, while another wrote “serving,” elongating the “g” for effect. Another simply stated facts with “Iconic as always.” One fan wrote “Dolly Parton,” perhaps hinting at a styling resemblance to the legendary Jolene singer.
The Dolly Parton-inspired look makes sense, as Doja Cat transports audiences to the eighties era with her fashion ensemble. She wore a retro-style white blouse with a deep cut, low-waist jeans, and a pearl-studded choker. Doja debuted her new song Jealous Type on stage, which is slated to be part of her upcoming studio album Vie, due on September 26.
