Prince Harry May Have ‘Golden Ticket’ To Remain in America Despite Visa Drama

Prince Harry had his visa validity called into question recently, with claims he may have lied on his application. It seems the royal doesn’t have to worry, though. Newly revealed documents suggest he is in the U.S. on a “golden ticket”.

In what will probably come as a shock to no one, it seems Prince Harry was granted a special “golden ticket” visa to live in the U.S. While us mere mortals have to jump through an impressive number of hoops to move abroad, this visa far fewer requirements.

Documents obtained by the Daily Mail imply that the Duke of Sussex is in the U.S. on an A-1 Head of State visa. This visa, meant for foreign royals and heads of state, typically allows indefinite stays in the country.

The issues started earlier this year when right-wing think tank the Heritage Foundation questioned whether Harry had lied on his application. They alleged that, given Harry’s admission to taking cocaine, marijuana, and psychedelic mushrooms in his memoir Spare, he would’ve been ineligible for a visa. The think tank brought a lawsuit seeking to learn if President Biden’s administration bent rules for the royal.

However, it turns out that the “golden ticket” visa requires lower security checks than ordinary visas. This means Harry’s previous use of drugs wouldn’t have come into question during the vetting process.

President Trump previously said he isn’t interested in deporting Prince Harry. He said: “I don’t want to do that. I’ll leave him alone”. His goodwill didn’t extend to Meghan Markle though. He added: “He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

Harry is currently in the U.K. on a series of royal engagements, which apparently isn’t going down well with Prince William.
