Prince Harry Is All Smiles on Rare UK Visit — Photos

Prince Harry kicked off his visit to the U.K. with several charity visits. Today he stopped by CRS in Nottingham and was met with warm cheers from onlookers. He was pictured chatting to volunteers and beneficiaries of the charity, and made a very special announcement.

The Duke of Sussex seemed to be having a whale of a time as he visited the organization for a day of activities. He interacted with locals, enjoyed musical performances and even had a little dance.

The visit didn’t start smoothly, however. The Prince’s Range Rover was stuck in traffic for 40 minutes – clearly even royalty are at the mercy of London’s tube strikes.

While in Nottingham, Harry announced a £1.1 million ($1.5 million) donation to U.K. charity Children in Need.

On Monday the Duke paid a visit to the WellChild awards, where he spoke to young patients and their families, highlighting their resilience. He also mentioned “challenging” sibling relationships – he definitely knows all about that.

The Prince also made time to visit the gravesite of his beloved grandmother Queen Elizabeth II on Monday.

The trip marks the first time the Prince has visited the U.K. in five months. Many people have speculated as to whether he’ll see his family amid their ongoing feud. While a meeting with Prince William has been deemed unlikely, some say he may visit King Charles in hope of some reconciliation. It would be the first time father and son have met face to face since February 2024.

Meghan Markle and the couple’s children aren’t in the U.K. with Harry. The Duchess had previously visited the city of Nottingham with Harry in 2017. Perhaps she wasn’t a big fan.
