After over a decade away from the music industry, Hilary Duff is back.
A sixth album is in the works for the Lizzie McGuire actress, who starred in the sitcom How I Met Your Father for two seasons. Her previous album, Breathe In. Breathe Out was released in 2015. It featured collaborations with Ed Sheeran and former American Idol judge and singer Kara DioGuardi.
Fans will get an exclusive look into the making of her latest album and more in a docuseries chronicling the musical comeback of the multiple Teen Choice Award winner.
Hilary Duff signs with Atlantic to release new music

A return to music seemed imminent for the former teen idol, even before an official announcement. In May Hilary’s husband, Matthew Koma, shared a photo of her on Instagram in a recording studio, leading many to believe she’d be coming out with new music.
That was confirmed on Tuesday to The Hollywood Reporter, with Hilary signing a new album deal with Atlantic Records. Fans will get to see her comeback in a docuseries directed by Sam Wrench. He previously directed the films Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour and Billie Eilish: Live at the 02.
You might see more than just Hilary working on the new music in the docuseries. “Fans will ride shotgun as she balances raising a family, recording new music, live show rehearsals, and preparing to perform on stage for the first time in over a decade,” according to Atlantic.
Atlantic did not reveal who is handling the music for Hilary or when conversations with her began.
Hilary hasn’t gone on tour since her Dignity Tour ended in 2008. Two years ago, she released a second book, called My Little Sweet Boy, which explores the tumbles and triumphs of childhood. Her first book, My Little Brave Girl, is a New York Times bestseller that encourages girls to reach higher, dream bigger, and approach the world with their hearts wide open. Hilary has a son with her first husband, former hockey player Mike Comrie and three daughters with Matthew.
She’s reportedly going to star in the new Hulu drama Pretty Ugly.
