Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have been in a heated legal battle since 2024. Blake filed a lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star and director for alleged sexual abuse and for creating a hostile work environment. Justin denied these claims, eventually filing his own suit in June. A judge dismissed his countersuit, a win for Blake. However, their legal battle is far from over.
Recently, Blake was deposed by Justin’s legal team as they prepare for trial. Her legal team will eventually do the same for Justin. Both Justin and Blake’s counsel are looking to have those close to them also give a deposition. Justin’s team recently announced that Taylor Swift, one of Blake’s closest friends, will be joining them. Taylor’s team, however, will only allow it under specific circumstances.
Taylor Swift will be deposed on one condition

According to legal documents obtained by Page Six, Justin’s legal team has confirmed Taylor will give evidence in the case. She will give a deposition under one condition: it must be done by a tight deadline.
Taylor’s new album, The Life of a Showgirl, hits shelves on October 3. Justin’s lawyer, Ellyn S. Garofalo, claims that the singer agreed to contribute to the case, provided it takes place after her album is released.
However, a spokesperson for Taylor stated that she did not officially agree to undergo a deposition. “My client did not agree to a deposition,” her lawyer announced. “But if she is forced into a deposition, we advised (after first hearing about the deposition just three days ago) that her schedule would accommodate the time required during the week of October 20.”
The legal documents say that Taylor has not confirmed that she will contribute to the case. Justin’s lawyers are claiming she did, but the statement from her lawyer says otherwise. If she is deposed, it can’t happen during her album promotion period.
