Gwyneth Paltrow appears to be envious of Hailey Bieber‘s lucrative Rhode deal as she seeks a potential Goop sale. Earlier this year, the model announced her partnership with e.l.f. Beauty for a $1 billion deal, and now, Paltrow also wants a comparable settlement for her wellness and lifestyle brand. A source recently alleged that the Hollywood veteran is jealous of Bieber and her beauty brand’s massive success.
Source claims it’s ‘tough’ for Gwyneth Paltrow to compare Goop’s sale potential to A-listers’ deals
RadarOnline exclusively learned that Gwyneth Paltrow’s thoughts on her fellow A-listers’ brand deals as she eyes a potential Goop sale. She has reportedly been competitive about her brand’s success as compared to Hailey Bieber’s Rhode and its huge $1 billion deal with e.l.f. Beauty. Moreover, she holds the same view about Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and her nabbing $900 million for it.
A source claimed that the “Iron Man” star might not be a billionaire, but “her stake in Goop is worth hundreds of millions of dollars.” She has been on the hunt for a deal that is “at least comparable to” Witherspoon’s $900 million settlement. Therefore, Paltrow wouldn’t “settle for a bargain-basement purchase price.”
However, the insider alleged that it’s “tough” for Paltrow to compare her brand’s sale potential to that of Bieber and Witherspoon’s deals. They theorized that she could go “down with the ship” by letting her “pride” get in the way of accepting a “lowball offer, or anything that can be perceived in the press that way.”
Thus, the possibility remains that Paltrow will not sell Goop unless it’s a “win for her and her team.” At the same time, the source added that “it’s hard to argue that Goop is at a peak,” likely because she had to “restructure and conduct layoffs.”
For Paltrow, it has not been easy to witness what Bieber and Witherspoon raked in with their sales. The source claimed that the latter two “sold at top of the market and made a fortune” out of it. Nevertheless, the Oscar winner is looking forward to “making a huge return to movie acting” with her upcoming film, “Marty Supreme,” featuring alongside Timothee Chalamet, in December.
