Travis Kelce recently opened up about wedding planning with his fiancée, Taylor Swift. During the September 17 episode of his New Heights podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, the tight end spoke with Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon about how preparations for the wedding are progressing.
Fallon asked the football star, “Are you working on planning the wedding? Is that the next move?” To this, the NFL star replied positively, saying “Yeah, that’s the next step.” When the Tonight Show host shared a simple advice, “Don’t stress about it,” Kelce replied humorously. He said, “That one’s gonna be easy. I just gotta figure out how to win a football game first. Wedding planning’s gonna be easy compared to trying to figure out how to catch a goddam football.”
Fallon also inquired whether the couple is leaning toward a DJ or a live band for the wedding. Kelce answered, “We’re live music kinda people.” The comment amused Fallon, who referenced Kelce’s own performance of an AC/DC song. The TV host shared, “It was one of the best things I’ve ever heard.”
The comments come after a US Weekly source reported that the wedding is likely to take place “early next year.” However, the couple remains in the “very early planning stages.” Swift is reportedly enjoying the creative process, researching venues and locations.
The source emphasized that the wedding will be an intimate affair rather than an extravagant ceremony. They said, “Despite their celebrity, they are down-to-earth and normal. They aren’t the flashy people who want a $20 million fantasy wedding. She doesn’t want the pomp and circumstance.”
