Kate Gosselin first became a household name in the mid-2000s when TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 introduced viewers to her busy household. The show followed Kate, her then-husband Jon Gosselin, and their eight children as they navigated daily life. Twins Madelyn and Cara, along with sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Hannah, Alexis, and Leah, grew up in front of cameras while their parents’ marriage unraveled.

A source confirmed to Page Six that Kate and Steve are living together and planning a future. “They have wedding plans, it’s that serious,” the insider revealed. Another added, “There’s no doubt that Kate is crazy about him … things are serious, they have discussed wedding plans and moving on that next stage.”
Kate hinted at her relationship on TikTok earlier this month, after her rocky return to social media. She told followers she has been with someone for “a little over a year, maybe 14 [or] 15 months.” She avoided sharing his name, saying, “he doesn’t really like to be on TikToks,” which she “can’t blame him” for. Still, she teased, “You perhaps will catch a peep of him here and there, or once in a while going forward.”
Steve began working for Kate in 2008 while both were married to other people. He has since divorced, and over the years he and Kate were often photographed together. Rumors of an affair followed them, but Kate pushed back in 2009, saying the tabloids made the whole thing up. Steve quit as Kate’s bodyguard in 2014.
Fast forward to today, and those dots appear to be firmly in place. The pair have been spotted sharing umbrellas, living near each other, and now sharing a home.
Kate and Jon’s children are now adults, with the twins at 24 and the sextuplets recently turning 21. Her relationship with her children has not always been smooth, especially with son Collin, who has spoken publicly about their estrangement. Steve has two children of his own with his ex-wife, Gina.
After years of rumors, Kate seems to have finally found lasting love with the man who (literally) stood beside her through the chaos.
