Dolly Parton Health Battle Continues as She Postpones Vegas Concert Dates

Dolly Parton is still under the weather. The country singer canceled a visit to her own theme park earlier this month. Now she’s postponed a number of concerts in Las Vegas. In an Instagram post, she told fans she believes god is telling her to slow down.

Dolly Parton is facing “health challenges”

Dolly’s health issues don’t seem to have eased. The beloved country music star said she’s currently dealing with “some health challenges”. Which, to be fair, isn’t exactly unheard of for an almost 80-year-old.

She took to her social media on September 28 to tell fans she’s postponing her shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The shows were originally set to take place this December.

She said in the post: “I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts. As many of you know, I’ve been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000 check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”

While she didn’t go into the specifics of the health problems she’s currently facing, she previously canceled an appearance at Dollywood on September 17 due to kidney stones.

The Las Vegas shows have been postponed until September next year.

Dolly reassured fans that the postponement isn’t a sign she’s ready to retire. She wrote: “And don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”
