Hilaria Baldwin recently had all seven of her children present for Dancing with the Stars Season 34. From their seats in the studio audience, her husband, Alec Baldwin, and their kids watched, each eager to see her advance in this competition. But when her jig was over, their emotions remained high, Hilaria explained. Here’s why.
Hilaria and Alec Baldwin’s kids caught her Dancing with the Stars performance

When DWTS Season 34 premiered, Hilaria only brought her oldest children to the taping. “I had four, my oldest four,” she explained. But as for her younger three, Hilaria knew how long this event could run. So, she made a decision that acted in the best interests of her family and the show itself and left her youngest kids behind.
“I feel like maybe my youngest three would be running around the dance floor. And it could be a little bit [distracting], especially the baby. She’s so naughty,” Hilaria explained. But now that this competition is several weeks in, Hilaria is changing her tune.
During Week 3, all seven of her children were present for the live taping of DWTS. As Hilaria expressed to PEOPLE, “The purpose of dancing is not just to feel and to enjoy the work that we do, but it’s to make people happy [and] to entertain people. We want to do this because we want to bring joy to people,” she said. And having everyone present felt “so wonderful,” Hilaria added.
Her seven children were also present for Week 2, she revealed. But this was a stressful taping, since “My kids came up to me and they said that they almost cried that I was standing there, so it’s like, ‘Let’s not do that again,’ because it’ll make me cry,” Hilaria explained, speaking about the double-eliminations during that week. “And it will make them cry, and then we’ll all be sad.”
Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It streams on Hulu the next day.
