Elsie Hewitt talks about having kids with Pete Davidson
Elsie Hewitt recently revealed that she suffered from endometriosis and was unsure of how much it had affected her fertility before the surgery.
In a conversation with PEOPLE, she said, “I was 100% convinced that I was infertile and not going to be able to have kids.” Two reasons prompted her to turn to surgery: one was that she wanted to treat her symptoms. Secondly, she also wanted to protect her fertility or preserve her chances of becoming pregnant someday.
Hewitt also shared her gratitude for being able to welcome a baby into their lives and nurture it with all their love and support. She said, “For both of us, we’re very conscious of not putting pressure on this. Like, ‘This child is going to fill a void or be this thing that I never had,’ type thing. But I do think that there is this really healing aspect of knowing that we’re going to be able to give a child the life and the support and the love and the family vibe that we don’t feel like we had.”
In an episode of The Breakfast Club radio show, Davidson revealed that he felt guilty that Hewitt was forced to announce her pregnancy early because of his stardom. He said, “I feel bad for my girl because I bring a lot of s**t.”
Revealing the reason why he’s feeling bad about the early pregnancy announcement, he explained, “She’s a very private person, and she’s the one doing all the work. [She] never made me feel this way or said anything, but I feel so guilty and horrible that I could not allow her to have the ideal pregnancy that almost every woman gets to have and enjoy.”
