Prince William Makes Rare Comment About Estranged Brother Prince Harry

Prince William and Prince Harry don’t seem to be any closer to reconciliation. So it’s a bit of a surprise to even hear the older prince say his brother’s name out loud. In a recent interview, William reminisced about the pair’s childhood, and spoke of changes that “need to happen”.

Prince William and Prince Harry have not yet mended their relationship

Prince William makes an appearance in the new episode of Eugene Levy’s show The Reluctant Traveler. In it, he speaks pretty candidly about his childhood and his future as king.

One particularly notable mention is brother Harry. The pair have had a strained relationship for years following tensions that began in 2018.

While discussing the future of the monarchy, William says: “I hope we don’t go back to some of the practices in the past, that Harry and I had to grow up with. And I’ll do everything I can to make sure we don’t regress in that situation.”

The Prince of Wales also said that change is a priority for him. He added: “And I embrace that and I enjoy that change – I don’t fear it. That’s the bit that excites me, is the idea of being able to bring some change. Not overly radical change, but changes that I think that need to happen.”

William is seemingly already trying to exert his influence on the future of the monarchy. Reports suggest he is at odds with King Charles over keeping scandal-laden Prince Andrew within the royal family.

The pair also can’t seem to agree on welcoming back Prince Harry. While Charles is reported to have made progress with his youngest son following the pair’s meeting last month, the brother’s rift hasn’t shown any signs of easing.
