Ozzy Osbourne Knew the End Was Coming Before His Death: ‘This Is It’

When rocker Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2025, the world lost a musical legend and reality TV pioneer. Sadly, Ozzy passed away mere weeks after taking his final bow onstage. He performed, seated on a throne at Villa Park, as he reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates.

“You’ve no idea how I feel – thank you from the bottom of my heart,” an emotional Ozzy told the fans that night. Unfortunately, in his later years, Ozzy struggled with several medical conditions. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and also dealt with health complications and surgeries related to a 2019 fall.

Ozzy Osbourne got emotional discussing his wife Sharon in his final documentary

Sadly, Ozzy’s cause of death was listed as cardiac arrest on his death certificate. His family felt the love from Ozzy’s throng of fans at his funeral. In Birmingham, thousands of fans mourned with Ozzy’s family as they placed flowers at a memorial site.

In the new Paramount+ documentary, Ozzy: No Escape from Now, the star of The Osbournes opened up about his feelings for his longtime wife, Sharon Osbourne. And he also talked about his final show. “I’m nervous. It’s my last hurrah, so it’s gonna be pretty emotional for me up there,” Ozzy said in the documentary. “I just hope I don’t think of Sharon when I’m up there, ‘cause then the f*cking tears will start coming. We’ve done a lot of miles together, me and my old girl,” he stated, clearly referencing his wife of 43 years. Ozzy added, “This is it. This is the last thing, and I’ve accepted it, you know?”

Meanwhile, Ozzy also gave Sharon tons of credit. “If it wasn’t for Sharon Osbourne, I wouldn’t be here now. I would definitely not have the success I have,” he stated. “I wouldn’t be sober. I’d be six foot under without a shadow of a doubt.”
