Princess Beatrice attended the wedding of pal James Green in New York last weekend. The royal was spotted in a photo posted to Instagram stories by a fellow guest at the nuptials. James has been a close friend of Beatrice for over two decades, having first been snapped together in 2004.

Who wouldn’t want a real life princess at their wedding? The guests at James Green and James Hirschfeld’s wedding in Long Island last Saturday may have been drawn from high society, but they may not have been expecting a member of the royal family.
In a snap posted to social media, Princess Beatrice looks jolly seated next to the couple in a sparkly black dress. The wedding reception took place in the garden of the newlyweds’ home. Guests enjoyed their meal inside a big garden tent, with tables beautifully decked out with flowers, candles, and lanterns.
A guest shared a snap of the wedding menu on Instagram Stories. In case you’re interested, everyone enjoyed mushroom risotto and branzino, with raspberry pavlova for dessert.
James has been a close friend and confidante to Beatrice since they were teenagers. They were first pictured together the Stella Artois tennis championship in 2004.
The Princess probably needs good friends to lean on in the wake of the scandals surrounding her parents.
In an interview with This Morning last year, she told the hosts “Nothing’s more important than family,” per Yahoo News.
She said of mom Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson: “You know, she’s such a phenomenal icon and as you know, as a mum, she’s been amazing and she’s been through so much and her sense of sort of purpose and resilience, really keeps me going.”
