So, Kate leaned heavily on Steve. They are now dating, but did their rumored early days get a boost from her then-shared bank accounts with Jon?
Jon Gosselin claims Kate had a “suspicious trust” account
Recently, Jon spoke with The U.S. Sun, revealing that Kate allegedly made him a co-trustee on an account for their children’s education trust fund. According to Jon, Steve is also a named co-trustee, should Jon be “unable to serve as successor co-trustee.” The outlet attempted to validate this claim, but failed (as of now).
Nevertheless, as Jon explained, “Once I went through the divorce, my attorney at the time found a trust fund, the original education trust fund that she created with him, without me, and named him as a trustee to my kids’ money. That was the icing on the cake. It was very surreal, strange. We find a trust fund, and it looks suspicious. It was just very odd,” he stressed.
Overall, Jon finds “it odd that those two got together, went to an estate attorney, created a trust, they both signed it, [with] the estate attorney without my knowledge. If my attorney wouldn’t have found it, that would’ve been in place.”
This trust in question is dated March 2009. Meanwhile, Kate filed for divorce from Jon in June 2009. The math is not mathing, Jon suggests.
