Gwyneth Paltrow recounted her first meeting with Timothee Chalamet at a costume test for Marty Supreme. She admitted she was caught off guard when the actor mentioned his girlfriend had two children.

“Everyone makes fun of me because I don’t know anything,” Paltrow told British Vogue. She asked, “Do you have a girlfriend?’ And he was like, ‘I do.’” Chalamet went on to mention that his girlfriend has kids, a detail that Paltrow found particularly impressive. “I was like, ‘That’s so cool. I really love to hear that [from] a young man like you.’”

Paltrow expanded on her thoughts, sharing, “I understand a 45-year-old who has his own kids going out with a woman with kids, but it’s a cool choice to go out with a young woman who has two kids. I respect it. I think it’s kind of punk rock.” She then confessed, “But my point is I didn’t know [it was] Kylie Jenner…”

Timothee Chalamet got a lot of attention from fans after attending red carpets with Kylie Jenner. The reality star and her ex, Travis Scott, have two kids: daughter Stormi, 7, and son Aire, 3.

Meanwhile, Paltrow is also generating a lot of buzz because of her upcoming film, as it marks her first major screen role since 2019. Viral photos of the pair kissing during filming in Central Park only added to the excitement. “Oh my God, all of my mom group chats were on fire,” Paltrow shared. “Everyone was like, ‘Yes, GP, get it!’ I’m like, ‘Guys, calm down.’”

Marty Supreme follows Chalamet as Marty Mauser, an aspiring competitive table tennis player in the 1950s. Paltrow plays Kay Stone, an actress who has an affair with Marty. It is releasing on December 25.
