The NFL star revealed to his brother Jason his go-to orders and favorite dishes on the menu at 1587 Prime Steakhouse. Firstly, he mentioned that hamachi is a dish that he likes, saying it’s “Unique to Kansas City … it’s like a little, like, sashimi or sushi app. It’s not sushi.” Recommending Andy Reid’s “The Big Red” cheeseburger, he added, “It’s a smash burger, can’t go wrong with that. It’s a wagyu smash burger at that. You can get it with, like, the special sauce, or you can get it with ketchup. I think it comes with a few sauces that you can pick and choose from.”

Travis Kelce then went on to suggest chicken nuggets and pastrami, which come with dips and pickles. However, he tells Jason that a steak that he believes is a must-try and is reasonable in price range is a Japanese A5 NY strip steak with black truffle butter and a side of truffle fettuccini. Travis reveals it costs around $173 and is perfect for a main event dinner. Jason hesitated to try the steak with a truffle, but Travis convinced him to try it. After rounds of debate over steak and truffles and convincing, Jason finally agreed, saying, “Well, I will try it because I love you. Thank you.”

In an interview, Patrick Mahomes shared his and Travis Kelce’s vision for their newly opened steakhouse. He said (via  Fox 4 Kansas City), “I and Travis have been working on that for awhile. We’re always together. We’re always at these restaurants, and we have a love for bringing people together. We’re going to do whatever we can to continue to bring people together and what better place than Kansas City.”
