It’s the end of an era for Fergie and Andrew. Sources say the pair are set to live apart for the first time in almost two decades. News hit yesterday that they had been asked to leave Royal Lodge, the 30-room estate they’d lived in together since 2008.

Now the former duchess is striking out on her own. An insider told People: “She is going to be moving out and into a separate home. Contrary to reports, she has never asked for a property or any provision for herself. She will continue to forge an independent life.”

It was previously reported that the couple had demanded a home each after being forced to leave Royal Lodge.

A different source told the publication that Fergie plans to “move forward independently.”

Andrew is likely to move to a home on the Crown-owned Sandringham estate, reports People. Apparently, his housing will be paid for privately by King Charles. He’s been told to leave Royal Lodge as soon as possible.

The same day that Andrew was asked to leave Royal Lodge, it was announced that the official process had begun to remove his royal titles – including that of ‘prince’. From now on, he’ll be known as the much less fancy Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

The news comes amid reports that Andrew and Fergie are locked in a rift, blaming each other for their spectacular fall from grace.
