Whitney Port has spent enough time on reality TV to be wary of it. It can bring out the worst in people and blur lines between reality and reality TV. And now that she has decided to return to the medium, Whitney is sharing her thoughts on coming back to it all and how she has meshed with her former costars.
Whitney was Lauren Conrad’s coworker on The Hills. She handled herself with grace and stayed above the fray for the most part. Whitney basically sat in a closet with Lauren for two years and functioned as a soundboard to everyone else’s drama. Then she landed her own show, The City, for two seasons.
It must be time for the cast of The Hills: New Beginnings to start promoting their spinoff show because Stephanie Pratt is suddenly very vocal about her relationship with brother Spencer Pratt, and his wife Heidi Montag. After all, Heidi and Spencer have been married ten years already. What could Stephanie possibly say at this point that would make it relevant?
Spencer and Heidi met on the original show, The Hills. Their blossoming relationship came between Heidi’s friendship with Lauren Conrad and Spencer quickly became the villain of the cast. He spirited Heidi away from her support system and was accused of isolating her from family and friends. But it turns out, according to what Stephanie is saying, that these two are made for each other.
Last week’s speculation that production issues would delay the premiere of The Hills: New Beginnings was, thankfully, proven unfounded.
MTV just released a trailer for the reboot. In it, fans can see a montage of scenes from the original show. If the visual memories aren’t enough, you get to hear the same Natasha Bedingfield theme song. It’s clear this whole project is marketed as a nostalgia trip for The Hills lovers, but they could have picked a new song.
Whitney Port may be regretting her time on reality TV. The former star of The City thinks that her career onscreen is the reason she has been shunned by some LA moms. Whitney filmed her reaction to being a victim of “passive aggressive bullying,” and shared it on her Youtube channel.
Whitney appeared in The Hills from 2006-2008 as Lauren Conrad’s co-worker at Teen Vogue. She also starred in her own spinoff show The City for two seasons. Whitney always came off as very reliable, level-headed, and drama free. She is now a mom to two-year-old son Sonny. So what was the inspiration for her video called, “I love My Baby But…Mom Bullies Can F Off!”?
The Hills: New Beginnings is in need of some reshoots and the cast is not happy about it. Network insiders have said that the stars would have to commit an additional three months of their time to complete the process, and though the cast is made up of reality TV alums, the group was not anticipating the additional commitment.
The comeback of the hit reality show The Hills features most of its original cast with some new faces as well. Brody Jenner, Stephanie Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Frankie Delgado, and Justin Bobby Brescia will be accompanied by villainous couple Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag.
Heidi Montag may have faded into obscurity for a while. But last week she made big news even more tremendous by answering a question about diversity in the most tone-deaf and detached manner possible.
The Super Bowl has something for everyone. Of course, there are a lot of people who tune in to watch the actual game. There are others who view the football as a warm-up for the half time show. Then, there are the commercials. A lot of the time, the commercials are more entertaining than the actual game itself.
There are many reasons that this is one of the most-watched events of the year. And of course, there are the celebrity sightings. There are so many
thirsty celebrities who just want to be part of the scene. And then there are some who genuinely are. There are plenty of celebrities and reality TV stars who have dated (and married) NFL players.
I have always supported The Hills reboot, but I can’t help feeling confusion every time there’s additional casting news. How is this a “reality show” when there are just (seemingly) random people thrown in on top of some original cast members who are in touch for the first time in years?
Of course, Brody Jenner, Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port, and other cast members from the show’s original run are on board, but some of the additions just seem so random. Mischa Barton will be on the show. There were rumblings that Kyle Massey is set to join the cast. Now the son of some pretty famous exes will be on The Hills as well.
