Cynthia Bailey has been having quite an eventful year. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star sent her daughter, Noelle Robinson, away for college. She survived the destruction of her friendship with long-time bestie NeNe Leakes. Cynthia invited Kenya Moore to an event without checking with NeNe first. Apparently, that is an unforgivable sin, and gets you demoted to co-worker status. Bloop! Cynthia claimed that she didn’t know Kenya was coming, but the damage was done.
In more positive news, the model made her relationship with sportscaster Mike Hill Instagram official in August of 2018 in honor of his birthday. In fact, Cynthia was so in love with her man that she predicted that Mike would propose sometime next year. Cynthia was ready for a lifetime of “CHill,” as their nickname suggests.
Season 11 of Real Housewives of Atlanta was the “NeNe Leakes Show.” NeNe dealt with her husband, Gregg Leakes, and his colon cancer diagnosis. She also shaded him by wondering if karma for cheating on her caused his illness.
When Kandi Burruss and pregnant Porsha Williams ventured into her closet, NeNe promptly tried to remove them. NeNe ripped a cameraman’s shirt, and possibly pulled off Porsha’s belt. I’ll bet in Season 12 no one will even glance at any of NeNe’s closets.
Let’s face it— much of last season of Real Housewives of Atlanta was carried by Porsha Williams. (Sshhh…don’t tell NeNe Leakes.) Porsha started dating Dennis McKinley, the Hot Dog King of Atlanta. She later faced some trust issues because Dennis was too chummy with an ex-girlfriend.
RHOA co-star Kandi Burruss also had some doubts about Dennis because of what the streets were
shouting saying. Kandi also shaded Dennis because he has other girls’ names tattooed on his body. But the couple seemed to put those issues behind them, which was a good thing because Porsha discovered she was preggers.
Remember back to a simpler time on Real Housewives of Atlanta? When women could show off their thongs and tout the miracle of having a donkey booty? Phaedra Parks was a Housewife like no other. She was an expert on southern etiquette, all the while also being an attorney and working in the mortuary business.
For eight seasons viewers watched Phaedra and her drama-filled marriage to ex-con, and current convict, Apollo Nida. Their union gradually crumbled after the duo welcomed two sons into their family. Apollo landed in trouble again in 2014 and was sentenced to eight years for identity theft and fraud. He was released in June of 2019 but sent back to prison a few days later for violating the half-way house rules. Phaedra eventually divorced Apollo. Shocker!
Season 11 of Real Housewives of Atlanta featured many milestones in Porsha Williams’ life. She dated, and became engaged to, the Hot Dog King, Dennis McKinley. The couple welcomed their precious daughter, Pilar Jhena McKinley, in March of 2019. Since the Bravo cameras didn’t want to miss out on this experience, the engaged duo also had a baby special leading up to Pilar’s birth.
Unfortunately, the status of Dennis and Porsha’s relationship is murky. Porsha faced some big financial problems (please pay your taxes, people!) Dennis was also the subject of cheating rumors, and Porsha unfollowed her fiancé on Instagram on two separate occasions. RHOA viewers are left hanging as to whether the engagement, and relationship, are done.
I think it is safe to assume that the bad blood between Real Housewives of Atlanta
friends co-stars NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey is rolling into Season 12. NeNe just confirmed that she signed her contract for the upcoming season, amid rumors that none of the other Atlanta ladies wanted to film with her.
I wonder why everyone is angry with NeNe? Is it because she threw Kandi Burruss and a pregnant Porsha Williams out of her closet? Or because she ripped a cameraman’s shirt who was trying to enter the same closet? There were rumors that NeNe tore off Porsha’s belt, too. NeNe also fat-shamed her supposed little sister just days after Porsha gave birth to her daughter.
Even Gregg Leakes, who is battling cancer, didn’t escape NeNe’s wrath. She mused about whether her husband was diagnosed with cancer as karma for cheating on her. Yup. She went there.
Lately it seems like Real Housewives of Atlanta has revolved around NeNe Leakes. She dealt with her husband, Gregg Leakes’, cancer battle. She even implied that he was ill because karma was paying him back for cheating on her. Really, NeNe? That is about as low as you can go.
Unless, of course, you are throwing RHOA co-stars Kandi Burruss and pregnant Porsha Williams out of your closet and ripping a camera man’s shirt in the process. NeNe later made fun of Porsha’s weight and body-shamed the new mom just days after she gave birth. That isn’t cool, NeNe.
Tanya Sam was a new addition to Real Housewives of Atlanta in Season 11. She appeared as a Friend of the Housewives. Initially, Tanya was brought on as NeNe Leakes’ friend. Oh, how that changed during the season!
NeNe became angry when she thought that Tanya dissed NeNe’s store, Swagg Boutique, during the Housewives talent show in Florida. NeNe later said that Tanya was obsessed with labels. (Hello–have you met your fellow Housewives? And looked in a mirror lately, NeNe?) In Tokyo, the ladies each got a fortune at a temple. NeNe said that Tanya’s fortune meant that she might not marry her fiancé, Paul Judge. NeNe blew up (as she typically does) when Tanya was upset over the way that NeNe shaded her relationship. Later, Bravo officially changed Tanya to Eva Marcille’s friend. Well played, Bravo. Well played.
