Bravo began filming the 3rd season of The Real Housewives of New York City on Monday despite the widely publized contract issues.
Life&Style magazine reports, “There were contract issues, but Aug. 31 was always the start date, with or without a contract,” says an insider.
Their insider also insists their salaries was not an issue, “The ladies wanted more money, and they’re getting it.” The insider continues, “Bravo was happy to up their pay since the show makes more money now. The Housewives just had an issue with some of the wording in the contract.”
According to Life&Style, Bethenny Frankel is still in talks with Bravo to get her own reality show, and might be leaving the NY Housewives after this season.
We also reported some nasty comments Bethenny recently made about castmate, Jill Zarin, so this 3rd season will definitely have some drama.

I can’t wait for my favorite reality show to return! Maybe gossip and talk about the New York crew will start surfacing more often since filming has started. One can only hope!
Kelly has a serious mental problem and she needs to get help. I don’t see Jill or Luann rushing to her and helping her. All three have serious problems with jealously. Kelly is so jealous of Bethenny along with Jill and Luann. Luann, Bethenny should have slaped you across the face for mentioning her calling you a snake which you are when you are congratulating her in the next breath. Real loosers Kelly, Jill and most of all Luann.
This is for Luann, we had so much fun yesterday with family playing your video. The laughter was the best as we can hardly believe you are so stupid to release. What was that record producer thinking he knows it will only make small changes as several will only be curious as I was. Again how can you embarrase your children.
