In a new interview with Intouch magazine, Gretchen Rossi opens up about her battle with an eating disorder. Gretchen reveals she has suffered from bulimia since high school. The Real Housewife of Orange County star has since recovered through therapy and self acceptance.
“I got healthy,” Gretchen reveals. “I was a lot heavier back in high school and in college. I wasn’t even fat, I was only 130 pounds. But compared to what I look like now at 115 pounds, I thought I looked fat.”

Gretchen, who made the headlines when some explicit photos of her were released online this summer, reveals that suffering from an eating disorder was tough. “My best friend busted me in the bathroom, and then my parents found out,” Gretchen says. “That’s when I decided to seek therapy.”
She adds: “I decided that I was going to make a difference, and I went and got my personal training license and nutritional license. Then I worked as a personal trainer, nutritionist and aerobics instructor.”
Even though Gretchen has a body most women will die for, she still hates her thighs. “I don’t like my legs at all. I hate my legs. I have just always wanted skinnier thighs. My thighs kill me,” says Gretchen. As for her favorite body part, Gretchen says, “My boyfriend , Slade, gives me the compliment that my butt is my best feature, so I try and make sure by butt looks cute in whatever I have on.”
Gretchen is also proud of the fact that she is plastic surgery free. “I have not had any plastic surgery whatsoever,” she says. “This is the best weight I’ve ever been at, and this is the best I feel like I’ve ever looked. I feel toned and healthy and good. And it took a little bit to get to that place, but I’m grateful I’m finally at that place.”
As for her advice to other women going through the same thing, she advises, “Get right with yourself and with God, because if you have that in your life, everything else will fall into place.”

It appears that Gretchen is attempting to deflect attention away from her raunchy photos and Jay rumors by replacing them with a photo of her younger, supposedly heftier, self and the confessional announcement that she once suffered from bulimia.
I’m sorry, but these types of revelations usually follow a pattern. Next, she’ll reveal that she was molested. Not that it won’t be true, it’s just usually the next step when a celebrity is trying to divert bad hype about themselves.
Using that old image of herself as someone who looks fat is just wrong. What in the hell is that saying to other females about their own bodies? Claiming she thinks her perfect thighs are too big is also silly and thoughtless. Her agent needs to come up with a better ‘avert-attention-from’ campaign.

I’m so happy for her that she’s happy with her body. Too bad nobody cares except for her pimp Slade who would dump her ass if she got fat.
Judging by her rant about her thighs she still has body dismorphic disorder and is no doubt still in the throws of bulimia. She just can’t keep a secret, can she. I agree w/ Faugliegh that she is probably already cooking up another attention grabbing story about her boring life. Is her story supposed to be inspirational?
Who does she think she’s kidding about not having any plastic surgery? She has probably had lipo, and don’t tell me she hasn’t had cheek implants. That’s why she will only allow one old picture of herself to be circulated. What an egotistical bitch. She thinks she’s perfect. Old age won’t sit well with her AT ALL.

I think Gretchen is beautiful…..some of the things being revealed about her aren’t so pretty but we all have “stains” on our past.

Having Slade as a boyfriend probably isn’t helping her image any at all but if he is using her, she’ll figure it out. Personally I think she could do much better than Mr. Smiley.
Doesn’t she realize the ass comment from Slade was a backhanded compliment? Her ‘ass’ is nothing special along with her Wilma Flintstone body. Her head and face are too big for her tiny shoulders and body. She doesn’t look healthy or have any muscle like a real fitness instructor. She starves herself or binges and purges b/c she’s so stuck on how she looks that it’s a neurosis. I’d love to know how she ‘made a difference’ for anyone but herself with her non exsistent career other than to spread her neurosis around. This woman is so irritating. I would love to give her a good beating to show her how in shape and healthy she is.

You all make me sick because everytime fauleigh speaks you bow down and kiss her ass. She is not an authority and just because she says it doesn’t make it so. For someone to judge someone who has battled bulimia makes me want to puke. No pun intended. Fauleigh and followers you aren’t all that. The meer fact that you all worship that gutter whore Tamara who is the most mean spirited person I have ever seen, speaks volumnes. But to each his own I guess.
P.s. If her speaking out about bulimia reaches just one young lady and keeps her from going down that same path then she is making a difference and doing so in a good way. What the hell has Tamara done except back stap and gossip behind peoples back about things that really are none of her business, unless of course Grethen is sleeping with Simon. We all have things from our past that we aren’t proud of. Why not keep that in mind when you are picking up a pitch fork while standing in the Tamara bandwagon line.
Sarah, I didn’t see anyone worshiping Tamra and if you’ve been around a while you’d know that a lot of people don’t usually agree with Fauleigh’s posts.
But let’s face facts here. Gretchen could have made this announcement a long time ago. She’s always got her media whore face in a camera lens. Why did she wait until her reputation and credibility were so damaged by her relationship with Slade to come clean? Yeah. It’s pretty obvious that the only reason she’s doing this now is to regain sympathy and support from people who used to like her, but now realize that she really isn’t anything but a cheating, skeeving whore who’ll sleep with anyone to get what she wants. She was with Jeff for his money and Slade gets her all kinds of publicity — good or bad, Gretchen doesn’t care as long as they get her name right.
No one here was defending Tamra. In fact, Tamra has nothing to do with this press release, so why is it that you Gretchen followers have to deflect bad publicity about her by dragging Tamra’s name into the fray? Is it because there really ISN’T any defense for her reprehensible behavior? Ding ding ding. I hear the “That’s the correct answer” bell ringing.
I agree with Sarah. No one should ever make fun of someone who is struggling with disease or a handicap. Don’t fault Gretchen for using this medium to tell her story. It is at her disposal. Let’s face it they are all media whores or they wouldn’t be airing their dirty landry for everyone to see on national TV. None of these women are choir girls so let’s not keep putting them up on pedestals. because at the end of the day, we are all human and we all make mistakes. It’s just that some of us have enough class and dignity not to get on national TV and air it to the world. DING DING DING!

Another thing is why when she talks does it appear her top lip sticks to her teeth? something is definately up with that cause her teeth stick out like horse teeth and when she talks it looks so weird, like only her bottom lip moves.
