It seems the second time will be the charm for Dancing With The Stars‘ pro dancer Karina Smirnoff, as PEOPLE magazine is reporting she is once again engaged following the demise of her previous engagement to fellow dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy just a year ago.
Karina, 32, confirms to PEOPLE that baseball player and beau of a year Brad Penny, 32, actually popped the question to her on Oct. 4.
“We kept it quiet because my family is in New York and Brad’s family is in Oklahoma so we kind of wanted them to come out and celebrate and be a family first before we let the cat out of the bag,” said Karina, showing off her 4.5 carat Asscher Cut diamond engagement ring over the weekend.
Though the two have yet to start planning their wedding, Karina could not be happier. “I’m marrying a Southern Gentleman,” she said.
On to tonight’s new episode of Dancing With The Stars, with 5 contestants remaining, the show will be doing something it has never done before.
Maksim revealed last week that all of the stars and their partners will have to rehearse for tonight’s show without knowing what song they will be dancing to. The teams will be given their dance song just 20 minutes before they have to dance live tonight. Should be an interesting show.

Ok Nov 8th episode. Lacey, Kyle, BRANDY AND MAKS were amazing. Period. Jennifer Grey (after once again using her age, body and the sympathy vote, hey brought in Dad Tony winning broadway DANCER and more medical records, pulled it off and is back, I applaud her dancing. Pancake hand Kurt had charm but that damn Bristol stiff stinker and will probably be safe, AGAIN. Tired of seeing Mark rub all over her (even felt her behind at one point), but most of all her expression is like “well so what it was alright, I’m not going anywhere” as if “My momma’s friends got this in the bag. What really frost my cookies however was that hypocrital shyt they (horney Carrie Ann) is pulling pushing for Jennifer Grey is not fair. Jen is doing great, but she has been messing up a bit because she is tired. Of course they got a perfect 10. Brandy and Maks NAILED both their dances and I was so glad when Carrie Ann tried to criticize about Brandy’s “neck??” he went OFF. He basically said “Bitch you betta open your eyes, I’m the professional, you know that after ten years we WORK OUR ASSES OFF and Brandy has been consistent and excellent, so stop this foolishness” even Len had to agree. But the expression on Jen Grey’
s face said it all like “yeah, I got this in the bag now that Carrie is on my side ha ha.” I was also glad that Brandy all but said that a lot of folks went home who should not have…hmmmm. I do hope Jen and Brandy are in the finals and even Kyle and Lacey (were wonderful), but that damn Bristol’s time is up. Poor pancake hands….Kurt’s going home though watch. Damn shame.
