Preview Bethenny Ever After, Plus Jill Zarin Says Bethenny Never Fit In On Housewives

A new episode of Bethenny Ever After airs tonight on Bravo at 10/9c.

On the new episode titled “Ice Castles and Hassles,” Bethenny is on edge about her approaching 40th birthday. Meanwhile, she receives an invitation to appear on “Skating With the Stars.” A preview clip is below.

And in an interview with Extra, Bethenny Frankel reveals why she had a breakdown over her 40th birthday. “It’s a low grade breakdown. A mild, mild breakdown,” Bethenny confessed. “It wasn’t that I was turning 40, I just didn’t want to have a big party to celebrate. It’s not like I am one of those people that are like ‘yeah it’s your birthday.’ It’s not exactly me, so I reluctantly had a party and then broke down in the bathroom.”

In other Bethenny news, her former BFF and Real Housewives of NYC costar Jill Zarin continues to speak out against her. In a new interview with UsWeekly, Jill states the upcoming fourth season (premiering April 7) is her “favorite,” adding that Bethenny never really fit in with the NYC group.

“Living through it was the most enjoyable season,” said Jill. “I don’t think Bethenny ever really fit into the group.” Jill added, “She’s found herself on her own show — her own island. She self-admittedly doesn’t like people [besides her husband Jason Hoppy and daughter Bryn, 10 months.].” Yikes.

Meanwhile, Bethenny continues to make the press rounds to promote her latest book, “A Place of Yes.” While talking to the HollywoodLife, Bethenny revealed she always knew she would get her own reality show and used the NYC Housewives as an opportunity. “It was definitely something I knew was going to happen. I could see it,” said Bethenny adding that she tried to separate herself from the pack. “I separated in a sense that Season One — everybody was being frivolous. I was just trying to build a career and I was already working on all the projects.”

“Bravo is very much a network that is known for and relishes big drama, diamonds, glam, money and luxury,” Bethenny said. “I was not that. I had no money, I lived in 700 square-foot apartment. I had no idea what was going on in my life emotionally or career-wise. I separated in the sense that I wasn’t going to pretend I was somebody I wasn’t. I had to separate from the pack and be truthful.”

And while Bethenny makes it clear she has no regrets in doing Housewives, she does state that she doesn’t “miss a minute of it.” She then appeared to take a swipe at Bravo Housewives stating that in Bethenny Ever After, “no one is doing anything violent or outlandish for television.” She added, “I just love the natural way about this show because it’s true.”
