Well that didn’t last long. While the world watched Bachelor Pad lovebirds Ames Brown and Jackie Gordon ride off into the sunset on the most recent episode of the show, it turns out the couple is already dunzo in real life!
“Um, well, we had a great time on the show and chose love over money in the competition,” Ames, 31, revealed to reporters. “We are not still dating but we enjoyed every moment we had together. After a little while, we split up. Nothing too exotic about it.”
The duo, who hit if off on the first night of the show, seemed to be the perfect couple after choosing love over money. Following Jackie’s elimination at the rose ceremony, Ames gave up his chance at winning $250,000 by jumping into the limo and leaving with her.
According to Ames, they only lasted for a few weeks after leaving the show. “We just maybe weren’t the ideal match,” he added.
Other reports reveal Ames was actually the one who decided to dump Jackie, 27. Jackie, while calling Ames a “wonderful person,” also hinted the break-up wasn’t mutual.
“I was shocked that it ended as it did. I thought it was potential forever,” she said. “It came out of nowhere. As far as I knew, things were great. I thought it lasted much longer than it did. I guess you didn’t. It takes two.”
Perhaps Ames, who is one of the front runners to become the next Bachelor, ended the relationship so he could be just that.
