Dancing With The Stars Recap: Ricki Lake Nabs The Season’s First 10’s!

It’s slowly turning into the Ricki Lake Show on Dancing With The Stars as for the third week in a row, Ricki led the scoreboard!

The surprise of the night however came when it was revealed that Ricki, 43, had threatened to quit the show during the week, despite being the one to beat. “I feel a tremendous amount of pressure,” said Ricki while struggling with the new routine. “Has anyone ever quit the show?”

“I am going to have a breakdown. I just can’t do it,” Ricki complained. “It’s just very confusing for me. I am not getting it. I want to quit. Like I totally want to quit — and I am not a quitter.”

Fortunately for Ricki she hung in there, and even more impressive, she and her partner Derek Hough (who is rumored to be dating Lauren Conrad) nabbed the season’s first scores of 10! Following her performance of a tango that judge Carrie Ann Inaba called “brilliance in the ballroom,” Ricki earned two perfect 10s, scoring a total of 29 points out of 30.

Coming in second place for the third week in a row is war veteran J.R. Martinez and his partner Karina Smirnoff. J.R. received a good score of 26 points for his smooth fox-trot.

At the bottom of the scoreboard was Carson Kressley, who earned a low score of 20 points for his underwhelming pirate-themed Viennese waltz. Judge Len Goodman said the dance was “like childbirth: terrible while it’s happening and enjoyable when it’s over.” Ouch! Carrie Ann also criticized Carson before going on to call the dance his “most butch” performance yet.
