Not only do they want want more money – but lots of it! According to insiders they are demanding double from last season. That's not the only issue at hand; they are also furious about some of the editing from last season the portrayed some cast members in an extremely negative light. As a result they want some say in what footage gets aired and how it is spun.
The cast was due to film the trailer for the upcoming season in NYC on Tuesday, but only half of them came! The other half protested by refusing to come to set because negotiations with the network/producers are at a standstill. And when the half that was present realized what was going on they got mad and started haggling for revised contracts too. Things got so heated they stormed off set. This is a mess!
Emergency meetings have been reportedly called to try and quell the angry cast members and VH1 is hoping to reach a resolution by the end of the week.
However, the cast is willing to hold out as long as possible to get what they want! If the network doesn't budge they will continue to strike. VH1 had no comment…
